fa دیدگاه فرگه در باب «معنا»: بررسی بیشتر Frege on Sense: More Investigation فرگه در آثار خود بحث مستقل و مستوفی در مورد دلالت‌شناسی کلمات نمایه‌ای ندارد. اما در بعضی از آثار خود، به خصوص مقاله «اندیشه»، به مناسبت‌هایی در مورد بعضی نمایه‌ها اظهار نظر کرده است. حاصل عقیده وی آن است که اگر جمله‌ای داشتیم که شامل کلمه نمایه‌ای بود، آن جمله معنای زبانی دارد اما معنای به اصطلاح فنی، مورد نظر فرگه، ندارد مگر آنکه مرجع آن نمایه مشخص گردد. با توجه به خصوصیاتی که فرگه برای معنا یا اندیشه قایل است، به نظر می‌رسد رویکرد وی در مورد نمایه را می‌توان به سایر عباراتی که مدلول محسوس دارند تعمیم داد؛ به این بیان که برای حصول معنا یا اندیشه، لازم است کلیه قیود زمانی و مکانی و سایر قیود مورد نیاز لحاظ گردند. بدین ترتیب، به نظر می‌رسد می‌توان گفت فرگه همه عباراتی که مدلول محسوس دارند را نمایه‌ای محسوب می‌کند. Frege doesn’t have an independent and comprehensive issue concerning indexical semantics. However, in some of his works, especially “The Thought”, he has declared some characteristics of some indexical. In sum, his view is that if a sentence contains an indexical word, it has linguistic meaning; However, it does not express a Thought (=sense) unless the reference of that indexical word is determined. Regarding Frege’s views concerning the characteristics of Thought, it seems his approach to the semantic of indexical can be extended to be true concerning other expressions having concrete references. To obtain a thought, all temporal and spatial constraints should be considered.
